I'm excited to expand the direction of my photography. Yes, I still love photographing weddings. They are such wonderfully emotional events, and present some of the best moments a photographer could ever hope to capture. But I'll also be expanding into landscape photography and more portraits. To that end, I spent some time this last week on Cape Cod, in Provincetown, Truro, and Wellfleet using a new camera (for me), a Bronica GS-1, a gem of a medium format film camera.
I can't wait to see the results! Yes, you sacrifice the instant gratification of digital, but you get to use 120 film from Fuji and Kodak that capture rich colors in a different way than digital. But do not read this to mean I'm a film snob. Digital is wonderful too. They are just two different ways of capturing images that require different approaches to shooting, and have different results. The picture of the Bronica here, was shot with my iPhone.
