OK, I bought a new camera -- The Fujifilm X-E2s. I'm not writing this to promote it because I bought it on close-out for 50% off. This part I will promote. The close-out part. One of the great things about the never-ending digital race to "upgrade" is that the super awesome camera from a couple years ago gets replaced by an even more super awesome camera -- but that camera from a couple years ago (at this point in digital technology) is still awesome, and it's half-price. Hence, my purchase of the Fujifilm X-E2s.
It's not their best camera, but so far, I'm loving it. What I love about it: It's small and light (but it feels solid), it's designed after the classic rangefinder, it's very easy to use, and also can be completely automatic, completely manual, or somewhere in between.
